All-District Band Auditions @ McLean High School – Saturday, January 10th

The VBODA All-District Band Auditions are being held this Saturday, January 10th at McLean High School (select students, registration occurred in the Fall). Extra copies of the audition music and requirements can be found here. Audition times and information have been shared with families; please reach out to Ms. Laping with any questions.

APS Honors Band @ Wakefield High School – January 21 – 24th

Congratulations to all students who auditioned and were selected to be part of the APS Honors Band! Students should have received their music before the break and are expected to have it prepared for the first rehearsal on January 21st. Please see the complete schedule for APS Honors Band below:

Rehearsals and Performance, all at Wakefield High School *please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the designated start time to allow time to find the rehearsal space, setup instruments, etc.

• Rehearsal, Thursday, Jan. 22, 2026, 6:00-8:30 PM,Wakefield HS
• Rehearsal, Friday, Jan. 23, 2026, 6:00-9:00 PM,Wakefield HS
• Dress Rehearsals, Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026, 11:00 AM-12:30 PM
• In the event of a snow day, dress rehearsals on Saturday, January 24, may be lengthened
• Concert – Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026, 4:00 PM, Wakefield HS
• The snow makeup date for the concert is Monday, January 26, 2026, at 7:00 PM, Wakefield HS
