Pick up submission guidelines and an entry form today from the Main Office and return by Wednesday, November 7.  Last year, Swanson student, Harper Shattuck, won at the county level for her photography entry and advanced to the regional level!  We have so many talented artists at Swanson — consider sharing your work through Reflections!   For inspiration, visit the Reflections virtual art gallery and learn more about prizes and scholarships at, or contact Kristen Shattuck at
  • Attention 7th & 8th Graders.  Do you need extra help with your independent-science project research plan? Or do you want help getting your in-class science project ready to enter in the science fair? Come to Ms. Seliskar’s Room 139 after-school this Thursday, October 25th  for help by Washington-Lee High-School students.  If you are unable to attend  on Thursday but still would like some support  then please see Ms. Humann in Room 256 to discuss other possible options.
  • Knitting Club will not meet this week, see you next week!
  • Did you know only 1 out of every 10 dogs born will find a permanent home? Allie Finkelstein and the Environmental Star would like to help these dogs by collecting donations for the Lost Dog Rescue. Please donate dog supplies such as dog food, toys, blankets/towels and more. Bins will be located in the front lobby from October 15th – 25th.
  • Shopping on Amazon and looking to help Swanson at the same time? Click this link and up to 7% of your purchase total will be donated to the school! Bookmark it for later, or you can always find it on the front page of the Swanson website. We appreciate your help!
