6th Grade Students on the Admiral’s Wheel spend one term in theatre

In 6th grade theatre, students will be introduced to techniques of performance with a focus on the three Actor’s Tools; Voice, Body and Imagination. Students will build on their knowledge each week to create characters, identify show themes and convey them through performance, and work in small ensemble groups to produce their own one act plays. Through these techniques students develop: self-confidence in their creativity, a cohesive team mentality, expression and problem solving skills, a better understanding and empathy for their community as well as the world at large, self-discipline to memorize and sustain roles, produce theatre, and express thought, feelings and characters.
