7th Grade Theatre- History and intro to Tech

From the silliest of satyrs to the daring sword fights and dramatic deaths of Shakespeare. 7th grade Theatre will examine and perform different styles of theatre throughout its early history, From Ancient Egypt and Greece to Shakespeare. Students will learn about different cultures’ interpretation of the theatrical arts and create their own interpretations, culminating in a condensed Shakespeare production for their peers.

For our technical Theatre Unit, students take an in depth look at the different roles responsible for the creation of theatrical arts, learning about each branch of technical theatre, trying their hand at sound, lighting, costume design and selection, props culminating in a final technical theatre design project.
