Morning Announcements

Good Morning Swanson! Today is October 17th and it is a B Day!

  • The Swanson Tennis Team closed out their season with great success at the Arlington County Singles Championships. The Admirals had four competitors reach the semifinals and beyond across the Boys and Girls events.  Andrew Moore and Laura Saperstein were finalists, taking second place in boys and girls singles, respectively.   Jonathan Peng and June Beck were semifinalists, with June barely missing the finals in a 5-7 tie breaker.  Greta Lesh made the quarterfinals, and Meher Harnal advanced to round 2 in girls singles.  On the boys side, James Welter & Ryan Schiffman both made it to round 2. Schiffman’s comeback from a game score of 2-5 to a near win in the tie breaker was one of the many tight matches of note.  The highlight of the championship event was seeing the Admirals cheer on their teammates in the finals till the very end.  True team spirit and sportsmanship again rose to the top.  Congrats to the entire Swanson Tennis Team on a remarkable 2025, including Championship successes and undefeated dual match season.
  • A Logan Kamp hat trick ensured the Boys Soccer team hung on for a 3-3 tie with Gunston yesterday, continuing their undefeated season and clinching an outright County Championship! Come out on Tuesday for our last game of the season at home against Jefferson!
