Good Morning Swanson! Today is December 12th and it is a B Day!

• Calling all theatre students, musical actors, and those in tech; please come to the musical kick off party hosted by the International Thespian Society board on Wednesday, December 17th in the Cafeteria. . Those attending should sign up and bring food using this QR code on the drama board or announcements. More information can be found on the QR code sign up sheet. Any questions? Ask Ms. Rosenthal or your ITS board members. We hope to see you there!
• Please come to our TAB Swanson’s Book Club meeting on Tuesday, December 16th during your lunch period to talk about books! Please get a TAB lunch pass from the librarians before the meeting.
• CALLING ALL ARTISTS!    Submit an original work to be featured in the official advertisement for the 2026 World Languages Showcase! The top three submissions will win gift card prizes and the winning submission will also be shared to the APS community. Your art should be related to the local and/or global impact of languages (spoken & signed). Submit work to your world language teacher or Madame Rauseo in SEAS-16 by Friday, December 12!
• Admirals, the temperatures are dropping, and Wavelength is back with another exciting school contest!We invite you to capture a winter moment by responding to one of these prompts:
  • The magic of snow or snowflakes
  • Winter adventures
  • Hibernation and cozy animals
  • Winter wonder and nature
  • Winter delicacies

  Submit any genre, and make sure your entry is school appropriate. Writing must be 750 words or fewer. Submit your entry to Ms. Chiu and Ms. Field by Friday, January 9, 2026. Happy creating!

• As a small token of our enormous appreciation the Swanson PTA would like to send the teachers and staff home with a container full of assorted cookies and treats this winter season.  Please bake a couple dozen of your favorite holiday cookies and send them to school office with your child on Monday, December 15th in a non-breakable and resealable container.  Please label the container with a note with a title (ex: peppermint chocolate chip) and if the treats contain nuts, or especially baked gluten free, vegan, etc.  Thank you!  Feel free to email me with any questions [email protected]We also need some help arranging cookies and greeting teachers throughout the day.  Please sign up- it is so great to see all the teachers’ happy faces and smell all the amazing smells.  We cannot make this event happen without you- please sign up to bake and ask your friends to help too.   https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0C4EADA82DA5FE3-60775765-swanson
